Gary M. Jacobson, MD, FACS

Gary M. Jacobson, MD, FACS is a partner at Vascular Surgical Associates since 2002.

Dr. Jacobson did his undergraduate training at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago and received is MD in 1993. His Internship and Residency were completed at the University of Illinois at Chicago where Dr. Jacobson also did two years of basic science research and graduate school, receiving his Masters Degree in 1997.

His Fellowship in Vascular Surgery was performed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Jacobson is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery and General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery and the Atlanta Vascular Society. He is a Certified Wound Specialist by The American Academy of Wound Management.

Dr. Jacobson is on staff at WellStar Kennestone and Cobb Hospitals. His special interests include minimally invasive endovascular surgery, vein surgery, aneurysm repairs, and bypass grafting. Dr. Jacobson enjoys traveling with his family and has been playing the guitar for over thirty years.
